Ariana Hetherington

Ariana’s strength in the contest and reliable skill set have set her apart in her WAFLW career having played for both Peel Thunder and South Fremantle Bulldogs. 

Ariana set the tone for her Peel teammates in their 2021 Reserves Grand Final win with her aggression in the ruck and huge tally of wins in the hit-outs. Her high level of endurance paired with agility and explosive follow-ups in the contest, Ariana’s clean hands throughout and natural sense of the game led to her being named Best on Ground for her GF performance – and as a player is someone her coaches and teammates can rely upon to play a role consistently and at the highest level across the ground.

After earning a place on Fremantle’s list as a replacement player in 2023, Ariana Hetherington was quick to make her mark at the Club, with a debut in round 1, playing 12 games across two seasons.

Ariana then found herself at North Melbourne AFLW for the 2025 season before being a part of a successful trade to Collingwood in the 2025 AFLW Sign and Trade period.
