Ariana’s strength in the contest and reliable skill set have set her apart in her WAFLW career having played for both Peel Thunder and South Fremantle Bulldogs.
Ariana set the tone for her Peel teammates in their 2021 Reserves Grand Final win with her aggression in the ruck and huge tally of wins in the hit-outs. Her high level of endurance paired with agility and explosive follow-ups in the contest, Ariana’s clean hands throughout and natural sense of the game led to her being named Best on Ground for her GF performance – and as a player is someone her coaches and teammates can rely upon to play a role consistently and at the highest level across the ground.
A reliable player with youth on her side and a natural sense of the game, Ariana is dangerous around stoppages in the midfield as well as providing that halfback influence. Her ability to cut-off opponents with strong intercept marks under pressure, what Ariana is able to bring to the game as a cross-code athlete has not gone unnoticed.
“With an impressive NBL1 and also State 7’s Rugby career under her belt as well, Ariana has led from the front with both her high-level technical skills and leadership calibre.
Having played for the Rockingham Flames SBL/NBL1 side since 2015, she has captained the squad for the past 2 years, and been in leadership roles for the State 7’s Rugby squad – having captained the team from 2015-2016 after being named in the side the year prior.”
