Bio

Ash was born in Sydney, NSW (Eora Nation) and began playing her junior netball for Model Farms Netball club at age 7. Three years later her family relocated to the Gold Coast where Ash started playing for Broadwater netball club as a shooter.

Ash was picked in her first U17 state team as a shooter and didn’t make a move to full time defence until 2021. Ash was a member of Qld U17 and U19 teams between 2019-2021 and was captain of the Queensland19/U team in 2022. She has been selected in the Australian under age squad from each Nationals she has attended.

2022 was a break out year for Ash, having captained the Qld U19 team at Nationals, she also competed for Queensland Sapphires at the Australian Netball Championships (ANC). Competing against and with some highly rated SSN players, Ash was a standout performer at ANC, finishing the tournament with the most deflections (33), second-most gains (35) and third-most intercepts (15).

Having only switched to defence in the past 3 season, Ash has a huge amount of potential. Her height and reach make life difficult for attackers and she has strong netball intuition. She is able to read the play superbly, making intercepts and disruptions look easy.

Ash is also a member of the Australian U21 squad and was recently named as a recipient of the Sport
Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program. Currently a member of the Sunshine Coast
Lightning, having previously been a training partner for the Queensland Firebirds, the future is looking bright for Ash.
