Jayme Harken’s incredible football career has just been capped off with taking out the 2023 WAFC League Fairest & Best Medal. Out of a whopping 91 potential games since the start of her WAFLW career, Jayme has played in a total of 89 dominant performances.
Having averaged 21 disposals for 2023, Jayme had a standout performance in R15 amassing 36 disposals. A natural ball-winner, she is forever dangerous on the ground and makes life difficult for her opponents.

As a ready-made player who is a dominating force in the midfield, Jayme has the extra nous that allow her to likely be a second possession winner from a stoppage, and provides the terrific speed and evasion she is known for to get the ball forward.
Her experience, honed skills and ridiculous ball-winning depth make her tough to beat in the contest and see Jayme finding plenty of the ball. A strong and agile midfielder with impressive footy smarts, Jayme uses the more open spaces to get free and burst through with ripping form. She has the ability to play as a key defender/running half-back, and as a general forward.

There are no shortage of accolades for Jayme who was named in the WAFLW Team of the Year for 2023, and has been selected in leadership groups at WAFLW clubs since 2019. When it comes to the WA State Academy sides, Jayme has been dominating in the team since 2018.
Football aside, Jayme has also competed in State League netball (WANL) for 9 years, and impressively has her black belt in karate (Wado Ryu) where Jayme has won multiple titles both nationally and internationally.
