Leesa is a super speedy C/WA who has a grown up playing both netball and touch football, having represented QLD and Australian under age teams in both sports. Leesa has represented QLD netball in U17 and U19 and has made the Australian squad for both age groups, along with being named in the Aus U21 squad in 2022. Leesa was HART Sapphire series MVP in 2021 and has won 4 back to back titles with the Brisbane North Cougars in this Series.
Leesa represented Queensland at the Australian National (ANC) Championships in 2022 and impressed, finishing the tournament with the most goal assist (147), most circle feeds (200) and third most centre pass receives (122)
Leesa has now added SSN player to her resume. A QLD Firebirds TP in 2023, she took the court 5 times as an injury replacement and immediately impressed with her maturity and ability to match it against more seasoned opponents. She scored 208 Nissan net points in her first 5 matches. Leesa uses her vision, speed and ability to thread the pass to create space in the attack and is a dogged defensive player. Leesa’s impressive footwork and ability to read the play make her a nightmare to defend and the gaolers love to play with her as she has great touch on the pass into the circle. Leesa has a bright future ahead.
