At just 20 years of age, Lucy is one of Australian Cricket’s most talented youngsters. Lucy grew up in Warwick, a town 130km South-West of Brisbane and was a talented all round athlete. Lucy excelled in Athletics, Rugby Union and Cricket and competed in all sports throughout her schooling years. At 18 she was selected in the Australian Rugby Union 7’s side to compete at the Youth Commonwealth Games. After moving to Brisbane for University, Lucy was a part of the wider Qld Reds training squad, while also continuing to play and excel at club cricket. It was here that Queensland Cricket spotted Lucy and offered her a QLD Fire contract. The lure of professional sport was too hard to pass up and Lucy decided to focus on her cricket career and committed to the Fire.
Lucy was part of the Qld side for the Australian U19 National Championships in 2025, the same year she debuted for the Qld Fire and Brisbane Heat in the Spring Bash and WBBL. A left handed batter comfortable opening the batting and right arm off spinner, Lucy has cemented herself within the Qld elite, signing a further 2 years with the Qld Fire. Her highest score is 85, set this year against Tasmania in WNCL. Cricket’s gain is Rugby Union’s loss, and it will be exciting to watch this talented athlete progress further in the sport.
