Bio
Born in Singleton, New South Wales, Maisy began her cricket journey at a young age, notably captaining the Hunter Valley under-12 team in 2010, the first female to do so at the Lismore under-12 carnival. Gibson played Sydney grade cricket for Singleton and the Hunter Region before making her mark in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). Her impressive performance in the WBBL earned her a professional contract with the New South Wales Breakers in 2016.
In 2019, Gibson relocated to Tasmania, joining the Hobart Hurricanes and the Tasmanian Tigers. During the 2019–20 WNCL season, she was named the Tasmanian women’s player of the season. In 2023, she transitioned to the Melbourne Stars in the WBBL, where her wrist spin became a valuable asset to the team. Maisy’s current career ambitions are to continue playing competitive cricket at state level.
Outside of Cricket Maisy has a passion for Arts & Crafts and has continued to advance her tertiary skillset, studying a variety of Cert IIIs including Event Management, Fitness, Small Business and currently undertaking Business Administration. As well as playing profressional cricket, Maisy participates in club cricket coaching.
