Portia is athletic with good skills, can shoot from outside and can also take on the defence with some great moves; she has excellent 1 on 1 skills. In my role with the NBL1 Lady Charger ’s I went to training once a week and I saw Portia demonstrate a great work ethic and she is also a positive supporter making her a great team mate. Portia is self-motivated and wants to become the best basketball version of herself and I really hope she is given opportunities to make this happen.”

Portia’s court vision is exceptional, she finds her open teammates and has the agility and maneuverability to score the ball on all 3 platforms – at the rim, midrange and shooting the 3 ball – she is poised and confident. I truly believe Portia has a tremendous upside in waiting as she’s only beginning to realise how good she can be!”

Poised for her age she has a lovely calm aura that surrounds her; but don’t let that calm exterior fool you though because Portia can flat – out – ball! A breathtaking 3 with a text book technique and with super fast footwork she’s ready to release quickly, a tough finisher at the basket, ease going left or right, incredible vision and smart. Watching Portia’s games at Nationals this year I was also so impressed
with her capacity to lead a team. As a bottom-age player the way she supported her teammates was great to see and she appeared to be the go to for the coaching staff when a message needed to get to the team on court – she was was awesome! I believe in Portia and I’m so proud to be on her team. As a bottom age player at Nationals in 2026 Portia was selected as a member of Tasmania’s leadership group, and another career highlight to date includes attending the Nike All-Asia Camp in 2025.

Portia is signed to play with the Hobart Chargers in the NBL1 South conference in 2026.
