Remi’s path to SSN reads a little different to most others. A product of the Queensland netball pathway she fell out of love with the game and took a year off to focus on her studies. She was coaxed back to netball by a local club coach and played a season in Division 2, where she was quickly snapped up by the Division 1 team. Excitingly though, she rediscovered her love for the game.
Plucked from Sapphire league to play ANC in 2021, where she impressed, Remi was well and truly on the scene. She was invited regularly into Firebirds training in 2022, here she held her own, and started to realise she could make it at this level. Fast forward to 2023 and her first contract with the Queensland Firebirds and Remi is doing more than hold her own in the SSN. She’s been one of the most consistent defenders in the league, sitting 3rd for rebounds and having impressive deflection and intercept stat’s, Remi has put the league on notice. She’s equally at home defending a holding or moving shooter and has been a solid back stop for the Firebirds this season. Remi is sure to continue to impress and build a fabulous career in netball.
