Tamsin Cook

There is a vulnerability in being an athlete that I often forget. Every time we stand on those blocks, we allow the world to watch us in the real time pursuit of our dreams. It’s a scary thing – knowing if you fail it will be laid bare for everyone who knows you to see and scrutinise. But despite the fear, I know i never feel more alive, more human, than in the moment right before i finish a race when anything is possible. It’s a privilege to be there, hopeful, a little scared, fighting for something you care about.
