Zaya Black is an emerging Australian guard known for her energy, versatility, and team-first style of play. Standing at 175 cm, the Western Australian talent developed through the state performance and Under-18 Country programs before making her NBL1 West debut with the South West Slammers. She quickly established herself as a reliable contributor, averaging 10.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Zaya went on to join the Cockburn Cougars, where her composure and unselfish approach drew praise from coaches and teammates alike. In 2024, she signed with the Sheffield Hatters in the Women’s British Basketball League – marking her first professional season abroad. Still early in her career, Zaya continues to impress with her balanced game, defensive intensity, and leadership potential on and off the court.
