Whitney has long been earmarked for success at the highest level. Hailing from Porirua, it was evident early on that she would be a force to be reckoned with in the netball world. Despite debuting for the Silver Ferns in 2017 as a 21 year old, the road was a little bumpy at first. Now, at 29, Whitney has established herself as a regular in the black dress, currently sitting on 44 test caps. Whitney has participated in the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the 2023 World Championships.
At a domestic level, Whitney has been a stalwart for the Pulse, helping them to the finals series in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Whitney and the Pulse are hoping to go one better this season and lift the ANZ Championship Trophy. An attacking midcourter, Whitney possesses possibly the fastest footwork in world netball, she has speed to burn and a beautiful feed into the circle. Disruptive on defence, she is also a tireless worker, a trait that makes her hard to beat alongside her physical attributes. Embarking on a new adventure in 2026, Whitney will test her skills in the SSN for Giants Netball.
Passionate about her local community and giving back, Whitney loves spending time coaching in her home town, seeing local people outdoors and being active and enjoying the sport she loves. She loves finding walks along the coastline with her dog and DJ’ing in her downtime.
